Pattiz got inducted into the Radio Hall of Fame in 2009. Even though his career has too many highlights to even list, he seems to be eager to prolong it. His most recent effort focused on creating a podcast with the legendary Norman Lear. In April of 2017, this has been finalized, and Lear’s podcast will start in May.
Norman Lear’s Background
Although this giant may not be known in every household nationwide, he has been recognized for many different things. At 95 years of age, Lear is a World War II veteran that possesses extraordinary skills in writing and directing. He has created multiple sitcoms during his producing career that helped change the way American television was operated.
The Podcast With The Veteran
Now, Lear will host a podcast that will discuss numerous topics. The focus will be split between sports, current social issues, religion, politics, and so on. He will also host celebrities from various fields to join him in his conversations. Lear does not let his age present itself as a problem. According to him, he wanted to wait for “half of his life” to be over before launching a podcast. Nonetheless, he is eager to share his thoughts with the subscribers whom he sees as his own equal peers. It seems very unlikely that a 95-year-old would be an apparent choice for Pattiz to chose as his podcast leader. Once given more thought, however, it is very evident that this is a perfect choice. Pattiz has a long track record of successful ideas that paid off, and this has all the characteristics of one. Lear is somebody who lived through modernization, World War II, the growth of the entertainment industry, and a lot more. If he is not the right person to discuss the world, who is?
